expectations

Well, we did it, we lived through Thunder Nationals!! Ya know how you get something in your mind, that things are going to be a certain way but they do go as planned. Well, for those of you with kids, welcome to reality! It turns out, that we end up with these awesome seats down close, but my son is terrified of all the noise (never gave that a thought) even though we all had earplugs in. Well, they have these nice insulated suites around the arena they use for crying rooms during these things so, my wife took him in there while I took pictures during the first half. I had fun, and before the thing he got to meet all the drivers and see all the turcks up close so, that was kool. But, I was definitely expecting a bigger (and better) reaction from him, that's for sure. And to boot, he fell asleep and when we got to Cracker Barrell, oh boy was he in a good mood, NOT! Ah well, he said he had fun, so, whatcha gonna do but go with the flow, and that's what his mom and I did. So, it wasn't a total bust, but not the fun-fest I had pictured...

Other than that, a pretty uneventful weekend. I played in church this morning. That was real kool. My boy sat there and kept smiling at me, and waving all through Mass. Playing again sure has been wonderful. I have really missed it. We're playing for a big ceremony next weekend too, that will be really nice.

Other than that, there isn't much to tell. It's been a nice weekend with the family. I am ready for another week of work!
