what a week, what a weekend!

What a way to cap off probably the best work week thus far... Going on retreat! I got a good loan closed Tues, got a purchase contract for another yesterday, and there will be another contract on my fax whenI break the seal on monday morning, so I am told... Looks like October ought to be a pretty successful month... I got to each lunch with a sponsee and a former sponsee on Wed., that was great... And I have been chatting back and forth via e-mail with the wife of ym AWOL sponsee, trying to listen to her situation, and offer her a little insight into why her husband acts like he does when he drinks. I've left messages for him to give me a buzz when he is ready to come back to the program and make another run at sobriety. All I can do is carry the message, and be available to them as a friend in recovery...

My sponsee and I will hit the road around noon today for the weekend... I am definitely ready for some time outta the asylum! When I get back Sunday, it will be full tilt, my parents-in-law and my wife's cousin and their 2 lil terriers will all be here and it's my wife's 7th AA Anniversary... So, it'll be in full swing when I get back to reality Sunday! I am really blessed with wonderful in-laws... I get along better with them than I do some of my family, lol!

Well, y'all have a good weekend, I am offline until at least Monday! Since that's Ian's B-Day, I dunno how much I will be on.

Prayer for the day...

God/HP, thank You for my sobriety once again. I pray for Your Guidance as I go through the day today. Help me to see Your Will in my life, and help me to be a good messenger for Your Message. I pray that I might use this weekend to listen well to others, to take time to get some perspective on my life. I pray that I may use this time given me to not only have fun, but to do some work on me... Thank You HP, for the gift of this retreat... This is, and always has been the cornerstone of my recovery year. I pray that my wife has a relatively peace-filled weekend with her family, and thank You for bringing them here to visit while I am gone, I know how much she dislikes me being gone.

peace to y'all... I am going blog cruising for a bit to say hi to my peeps

WOW, so many celebrations going on in your life and each one very precious. Looking forward to learning about your experiences at the retreat. Someday I would really like to attend one, I have only heard of amazing things from those who have attended.
