back to biz!

Dang, vacations sure can make your "regular" time awful busy. I have been busy getting back in the groove with work, getting a handle on my nightmarish lawn, and generally trying to get back to normal, whatever that is. My apologies (mainly to myself) for not posting this past week, see the aforementioned bitching about being busy!

I did hit the 12:30 mtg on Friday, it was different. I have never been to the meeting on Fridays and so I was surprised to learn that they listen to and then discuss a segment from one of the Joe and Charley tapes. At first I was like mmaaaaaaaaan, I want a regular meeting (wa wa). I am glad (as usual) that we listened. They discuss the allergy of the body, obsession of the mind, so forth.... Man, those guys do have an excellent way of putting things and getting to the "meat of the sandwich" if you will. We had a fellow in there court ordered, at his first ever AA meeting... He looked to be about 18. There was another new fellow in there, probably in his first week or two of meetings. All in all, it was a great meeting (as usual).

My wife and I will be celebrating our 1st wedding anniversary on Sunday. It's kinda funky 'cuz niether of us had been planning anything, or had really even thought much about it. I actually brought it up the other nite, we don't even know if or what we're going to do. We've been together 7 yrs, living together for a little over 5 yrs. So, I guess it didn't seem like a big deal. I am just glad she had not thought much about it also, he he. We've definitely got into that whole "raising the kid, running the household" routine.... So, it will be interesting to see what we decide to do Sunday.

I am still waiting to hear what's going to happen with this new mortgage co. I sent in my application package while we were in AZ. They've contacted my references (all my peeps lied well for me, he he) and it seems that the next step is for me to speak with the CEO for my phone interview. Being the good alcoholic that I am, I am getting anxious for something to happen. I am no good at sneaking around behind people's back (like I have had to do with my current friend/employer/partner). So, I would love to have some sort of movement on this thing sooner, rather than later. I've found a couple of good little office spaces much closer to home, very inexpensive. I pretty much have a game plan together, and have pretty much decided to take the plunge. All I really have to do is tighten up my numbers, run a bit more costing, take a deep breath and well, go for it! I can tell you this, if this thing doesn't work out and I do not get the opportunity to open this new branch, the job market here being what it is, I am seriously thinking of moving to Arizona. The mortgage market out there is screaming hot, we love it there, so on so forth! So, change is coming, one way or the other!

I have discovered some groovy new blogs, I will have to get them linked up soon. I sure have missed posting and reading, but I think I am back in the groove now and ready to go. Good to be back online! I'll probably toss a few more photos on here too!

Glad that your trip went well and it sure looks like you have prepared for a change. It is all in the planning, without planning the outcome.
