a fun 4th, now back to work!

We live in a town of about 2500 souls. 6 miles down the road is a smaller town, about 1800 souls. Each year they hold a summer festival over the 4th of July, culminating in a killer fireworks display. It's carnival food, music, small midway rides, games, etc. The perfect summer event. Well, after eating and visiting at one of my sponsees house, Ian and I met him and his wife at the festival for the fireworks show. It was about 25 minutes of wonderful "big city fireworks" in small town rural midwest America! I grew up in rural western New York State, and that's exactly how we did the 4th when I was a little guy. Ian finally got over his fear of fireworks and all was perfect, except for the fact that mommy was in Phoenix. We really miss mommy! Other than that, a perfect 4th! (I cannot believe I put my pic on my blog, ugh! I wasn't going to do that!)

Today, we have swim lessons at 11:30 and then it's racing back home to change, then speeding over to my office (haven't been there since Thursday, with all that's going on). You guessed it, the copier guy called this morning, and now that I am up to my armpits in 4 yr old, they are going to deliver and install my "uber-super-duper-office machine." FINALLY, sheesh!! Got home group tonite, grass to cut, yee haw, off we go! So, I am keepin' this postage short!

peace to y'all!
