road trip!

Good morning all... Well, today we drive to Cleveland for the ball game to see our nephew play for UW. The eatern part of OH is getting a bunch of remnants of Ernesto, but hopefully by game time tonite, most of that will be through. Ian has had some sort of infection chest, head cold croup-ish thing, mama bear is getting over bronchitis and I am feeling like I have the beginnings of a head and chest event! Not the best time for us to be spending a day and evening out in the cool rainy weather. My goal today is to be the one to bring as much fun, laughter, joy and serenity to the party... It's a long ride with a grumpy, tired not feeling good wife so, I gotta be on my game! Tonite we stay with my mom and step-dad and then we have a family reunion tomorrow before we head home Sunday aft. A lot of stuff in a short visit!

Prayer for the day...

God/HP, thanks for another crack at a sober day. I know that my life and the wellness of my family depend wholly upon my/our reliance upon You for the gifts and blessings of sobriety. I pray that today, I seek out Your peace and calm, the beusty of your creation here on earth, that I may have something positive to transmit to those around me. I have struggled with this the past few days, allowing external stimuli to determine my moods and attitudes... Help me to immerse myself in Your Spirit, that together we may brighten the weather in my heart. Help me to remember that I am here to be of service, to give of myself. I ask Your Blessings and Peace in the lives of all my family and friends, especially those who suffer today... Oh, and quick prayer for my realtor Kim, struggling with some health issues...

peace to y'all, have a great Saturday, see ya Sunday evening!

Oh, and one more BIG thing HP, please help me to lower my expectations of ymself and those around me, help me accept everything just as it is, cuz it's gonna be how it is anyway...

Man, that's a biggie!

Oh dear. I don't think I would want to be taking sick people to an outdoor game in the rain... but that's just me. Hope you have fun.

Two of the biggest things I have been taught in sobriety:

It is what it is.

It's gonna be what it's gonna be.
