Monday Miscellany

Welcome to Monday! I just wanted to make another pitch for Jerry's Kids! I am raising $$ for MDA, and I have been sentenced to jail if I can't raise my "bail" money. So, if you'd like to help out Jerry's Kids, click on the link to the right and you can do so online. Or e-mail me directly and we can make other arrangements. Thanks!

Ok, I taught for the first time in about 13 yrs yesterday. Man, was that great!! The kids seemed pretty responsive (at least as responsive as HS kids can be!). It just felt great to be "back in the saddle" again, working with youngsters, helping them to be better musicians. I was at a nearby high school, helping the band prepare for the upcoming contest. It was a nice way to spend a Sunday afternoon!

I am excited about work... (at least I am this morning, lol). I am rolling out two brand new marketing programs that ought to begin to drive steady, healthy business growth headed into the spring. Feb is looking pretty lean, typical for the biz, and my checking account is beyond lean but I am confident that I am laying the groundwork for an excellent year in 2007. I have faith that HP will take good care of me, as long as I do the next right thing!

Prayer for today...

JC/HP/God... I pray that You might help live another sober day in the Sunlight of Your Spirit. Thank You for giving me the courage to play my trombone again, which led to the opportunity to teach again yesterday. Awesome, thank You for Your Blessed gift of music! I pray that I might seek Your Will today, in all I do including: sales/mortgage work, my family, my community, etc. I pray that I might remember that I am here to be of service to you and those around me. Also, I want to say thanks for the friendship of my friend Teddy, whom You took to Your Home a year and a half ago. I miss him and I pray that my life might be an extension of his efforts to do Your Good Works.

peace be with you all today!

As usual Mondays posts are enjoyable. I am glad that you got to teach music and play again. Your prayer for the day was especially moving to me. Thanks.

You are very energized right now. I am sure seeing a child's face light up from palying music is something magical to be experienced.
