HNT springtime!

I snapped this pic of Ian early in April when we had a nice little period of warm weather. That was his first kite flying experience... The first pic is him watching me fly the kite, then he got to try his hand at it and he did pretty well!

One of the things I believe God wants for me is to see the world through the eyes of a child, not the cynical, defeated eyes of the alcoholic. I love watching Ian learn and experience new things. This is one of the incredible gifts God gives us through children, in my humble opinion. I am so grateful each day for the gift of my son. And to think, all we thought we wanted was a puppy, lol!
Prayer for today...
God/JC/HP, thank You for another sober day! Thank You for the rain that fell last evening, watering our plants and garden. I pray that I might use today to help You and those about me. Use me to carry Your Message to those I encounter. Please give me the strength and energy to work hard and do a good job at our Optimist Club Roast Beef Dinner tonite. We raise funds to help kids in our community, help me to do good work to help them. Also, a prayer for a friend in our community who is truggling with Leukemia. He is going back for a 2nd round of chemo here soon. I pray for Your Will, Grace and Strength for J and his family.
peace be with you all...

You're a wonderful Dad. I'm sure Ian must be proud of you.

My grandson is 8 years old, and he makes me see bugs as totally facinating.

What a wonderful thing that you get to be a dad, present and accounted for! Sobriety is so good.
