wed miscellany

A beautiful morning here in Ohio... a line of severe stuff went north and south of us, all we got were some much needed showers and a big time cool down. I love the smell of a fresh morning rain... mmmm was an awesome drive to work this morning with the windows down, hot cup 'o Joe in my face mmmmm

I took the plunge yesterday and let the education gal at church know that I would teach 8th grade CCD this fall. (takes a deep breath) So, it's off on an adventure... I have ot take some classes and workshops over the summer, really looking forward to that. I am beginning to prepare now so I am really ready to go this fall! When kids smell fear or lack of preparation, its all over! I am excited and scared.... But, I am looking forward to helping the kids, and learning more about my faith.

Tonite is home group, hopefully that newcomer guy will return. He has really added a boost of energy to the group! We've been having some great discussions with him at the table.

Work has been busy, closed one Saturday, will probably close on two purchases next week and I got one rolling for June already. I just hope I can keep building the pipeline and keep consistent numbers... So far, I have started really slow for the year but I have picked up nicely and got a good start on spring/summer. Hopefully, HP and I can keep it rolling....

Prayer for today...

God/JC/HP... Thanks for another sober day, and the sound of light rain as I slept last nite, with the window open. Thanks also for springtime, my fave time of year. We got some great new plantings for our home this week and I am really looking forward to watching them grow. I ask Your Blessings on my two sponsees, wherever they may be. Please help me prepare to help the 8th graders, by working hard at my classes and getting through all the teaching materials this summer. Help me to not put all that off. Also, help me continue to carry the spirit of Mother's Day forward from here so my wife can enjoy the resect she deserves as a mom and my wife.

I had to take my husband to the Clinic at 5pm yesterday with his foot and minutes after we left the house a tornado warning was issued for our area (was nowhere close when we left). We had a "small" one at Notre Dame and took down trees and a spire on the catherdal. We were stuck in the hallway of the clinic.

I hope the newcomer guy came back. It is so exciting to see people get sober.
