up and at 'em!

I am waking up, enjoying a little coffee before I head off to my Men's Prayer group at church. We get together on the 1st and 3rd Saturdays of the month and study various books, or scripture, etc. We always close by going round the room with our petitions to God. So far, it's been really interesting and a great way to continue to learn about how various folks practice their Catholic faith.

Before we head out to the lake, I need to do a water change for my finned friends... I've been treating them for a little sickness that struck not long after I set my tank up. Then, I am hopefully going out to take a peek at a 55 gallon tank setup I saw in the paper for $50 bucks. If it's in decent shape, it would be a steal... Yea, I have got MTS- Multiple Tank Syndrome bad... I gotta have another one lol. I won't get it going and set it up though until I get my 20 gal tank stable and cycled to where the water chem is in perfect, stable shape... I had no clue when I started this hobby, what is involved in fishkeeping but it sure has turned out to be interesting. Best of all, Ian and my wife love it! So, it's something we can all enjoy...

Prayer for today...

HP/God/JC... I pray that just for today, you continue to remove my obsession to drink, drug, smoke and do various other unhealthy things... just for today. I pray that I might have something to contribute this morning at prayer group. That my mind and hear be open and receptive to Your message. Thanks for all the wonderufl Blessing You bring me each day. I pray for Your Strength and Courage and Peace for my neighbor Les and his family as he deals with his heart condition. I also pray that anyone out there sick and struggling with addiction of any form might find Your Grace as I did over 11 yrs ago. I pray they might have the courage to surrender themselves to You and let You heal them as You heal me.

peace to you all...

I'm glad the fishies are turning out to be fun. They are quite a different type of pet. When I was in high school I did a biology experiment with livebearers and egglayers. Well, I tried anyways. I had separate tanks and the males and females. But the egglayers never laid any and the livebearers kept eating their young despite my best efforts to provide different habitats to keep the babies safe.

Frustrating. Got me a B+. Stick with the pretty fish is my advice, LOL.

Not that you asked.

We are supposed to be getting a tank today actually--Sunday now. But I think my gf is going to take it to work....
I love to watch the fish. It's great that Ian enjoys it, too.
