I guess I have hit blogger's block, lol. I haven't had too much to say these days! I have been enjoying the fresh tomatoes from our garden, working on closing up my office. I did find out that I start the new job on Aug 28th, maybe I shared that already. They are going to be sending me to New Jersey (Iselin, I think) for a 4 day training thing. I've never been to NJ, so that will be kool. I like seeing different places, even if it is for training, lol.

I am going to have to get out and buy some new slacks, golf shirts and dress shirts. I can't be looking like a bum at the bank, lol. I have never been too fond of clothes shopping. I mean I like getting new duds, I just don't much like shopping for them.

I've been busy with classes for CCD. I had to write a paper for class last nite. I had to pick one of the 4 Gospels and write a "word protrait" of the Jesus of that Gospel. Since I only had a week to get that done, I picked Mark since his is the shortest, lol. I learned a lot about Jesus in doing that paper, it was an interesting lil project.

I am playing at Mass Wed nite, Ave Maria, for the Feast of the Ascension of Mary into heaven. I love to play in church...

Ian starts kindergarden next Thursday, our little man is going to the "big school!" How cute!

I dunno, I don't have much to say which is ok by me! Things are busy right now but they will slow down once I settle into the new job. We have two more dance band gigs before Sept 1st, then we're done until New Year's Eve. My CCD classes start while I am in NJ so I will miss the first one, bummer.

prayer for today...

HP/JC/God, thank you for another sober morning. I pray that You might guide my thinking today, reminding me that I am here to serve You and those around me. Thank You for the new job, for the various blessings in our lives. I pray for Your Will and Grace for my friend J who is having trouble with his gal, K and S who are going to have a baby soon, and for my marriage which needs help.

may the peace of Christ be with you all!

Hey! Thanks for stopping by with your awesome words of encouragment. It means a lot to me during these first couple of days. You all are an inspiration to me. PS- Ave Maria is the most amazing song, it always brings tears to me eyes in church. Have a great day
