Well weather permitting, we'll have another go at the backyard sleepover. Last weekend we had to put it off due to thunderstorms. It looks like we're in the clear for tonite! Let the good times roll!

But, before all that fun kicks off, it's off to race RC cars. The town where I work is having their annual summer festival. One of the festival events is a remote control car show. They block off a street, set up ramps and courses, and people come in and race, jump and run their remote control cars. It fairly amazing, the stuff people have. My son has a couple of RCs he can run, he loves it. His mom and I will look at antiques and stuff while he races his RCs. It'll be a fun afternoon.

For those of you who know me, you know I have struggled with my weight ad infinitum. The struggle continues... I've been trying to get back in the swing of working out regularly. I start off great guns in the fall/winter but come spring time I fall away due to work and outdoor stuff. And of course, there's the constant battle with the foods I eat. I get myself so busy that I don't make time to eat right and I have a serious tendency to overeat. I just LOVE food lol.

I know I need to get in better shape and lose a bunch of weight. I am always tired, my mind gets lazy or frazzled, I get stressed more easily. All of that leads to the "need" for something pleasing and comforting, so hey why not? More food, lol. I have been to the Y again, been biking, last nite I swam a bunch of laps, and I have ben paying better attention to what I eat, doing better at eating not as much. I've also been reading an interesting book on how the body functions, how various foods create problems and what those problems are. I think it would help if I had a clear understanding of exactly what I do to myself when I dont eat right and exercise. Oh, and our attendance at Mass got a bit sketchy there for a few months, what with all the weekend stuff going on. We've gotten back on track with that in recent weeks, that'll help as well.

I am just kinda tired of messing with the whole weight/health issue lol. Hopefully I am tired enough to get and stay on track so I can be healthy and fit as I turn 40 this year.

Scott! You tracked me down. lol

Yes, ca-ra-zy times, eh? Funny thing is, after an election is over it is not too long and I find myself keeping an eye on the news and following the next election. :)

Do you ever feel like that, or now? I wonder if Pam feels the same way? I know that she follows politics.

Hope all is well. Things are great over here.

Scott, do I know you? Well, guess so, here we are! Your beautiful photo of that "noble instrument" reminded me of this true story: A lady knocked on the hotel-room door where Jascha Heifetz (famous violinist of mid-1900's) was practicing, and said to him how she loved the wonderful tone which came our of his violin. He held the fiddle up to his ear, and told her, "Funny--I don't hear a thing."

Steve E. (Still sober after telling a dumb joke like that!)
