Happy Easter weekend everyone!

I haven't been feeling terribly "bloggish" over the past few days, so I haven't posted. It's been a bit of a whirlwind with baseball starting, and CCD continuing for a few more weeks and Easter preparations.

Yesterday I cleaned the garage in preparation for our annual garage sale (not my favorite thing, lol) I even ran the shop vac and sucked out all of the winter dust and leaves and cobwebs so we're squeaky clean and ready for set up! I think this pleased my wife greatly. Usually, I just blow out the garage with the leaf blower. Nothing does the job quite like the shop vac.

I did manage to hit a meeting Wednesday and as usual I am glad I did. There were only four people there and we talked about HALT (Hungry, Angry Lonely and Tired) and how those four states of being can lead to trouble for the alcoholic. For my part, I am not so much worried about drinking again but those four states can trash my attitude if I am not careful. And, enough time spent with a poor attitude can certainly erode the quality of my sobriety to a point where drinking seems like a good idea again. So, even though HALT is more of an early sobriety concern, it still applies and has meaning for me today!

Lent comes to a conclusion this evening as we prepare to celebrate the Paschal Feast and the resurrection of our Lord tomorrow. Among our various Easter activities and celebrations, I am going to eat ice cream once again and be thankful! Yay!

I hope that you had a great Easter. It was beautiful here. HALT is something that I have to be mindful of as well.
