responsibility

I got to sleep in a bit this morning and I'm enjoying that quiet peaceful first cup of coffee, in my 3rd/7th Step Prayer mug once again. I so love springtime but it seems that I've developed an allergy or something for whatever is in the air this time of year. I've got the eyes, the sore throat, swollen sinuses, headache etc. I never used to have spring allergies but, I think as we age, the body changes.

My wife kicked some serious butt with our garage sale. I helped out yesterday during the sale and helped clean up afterwards. I am not a fan of all of that garage sale stuff, but we get rid of alot and we make some good spending cash for the summer. I just don't like all the work and what not lol. It was nice to work together and help out, and we enjoyed a quiet snooze after all was said and done. Afternoon snoozes are nice.

Today we've got baseball camp, mowing and plenty of honey-dos to work on. It's a beautiful day here in Ohio and I will be outside to enjoy it, allergies be damned!!

"Take away my difficulties, that victory over them might bear witness to those I would help..." I gotta share my growth at meetings and with sponsees. This is a "we" program. I had to know this would work before trying it (I am that skeptical lol). Hearing growth and sober successes from other men in AA helped push me to work through my own stuff using the Steps. We alcoholics have credibility where no one else does. And struggling alcoholic aren't the most trusting bunch. So, I need to share my successes, especially with HP so other folks can get a piece of the Grace I've been given. I have a responsibility to do so at meetings and will sponsees.
