Friday Flash 55 (fiction)

Friday Flash 55

entirely ready

Mind racing, should I?

Heart pounding, can I?

Stomach churning from yet another night of the same old thing…

I don’t know… I hear over and over through the fog as it tries desperately to lift.

What if someone finds out? This isn’t happening…

“Hello? Alcoholics Anonymous? I think I have a problem.”

That phone call saved my life. The kind person on the other end of the line make it ok for me to cross over and leave my old life behind. You captured it beautifully! Have a great weekend!

Never made that call but knew exactly where to go. Can't remember how I got there but I do remember being there and staying. ODAT.
