Stream of Life

The flurry of life whirring by...

I try to hop in where I can,

to follow along where I may,

and even occasionally lead.

To keep up, to have a chance

I must stay connected to Him

who has all power.

The stream of life is swift and sometimes furious.

It's the eddies and pools I look forward to.

For sometimes we all must seek refuge

in His loving arms,

in His warm comfort where

ultimate peace resides.

I pray this day that I might

find His peace and carry it with me

as I trudge this path I'm on.

I pray that I might remember

to give it away to those I meet.

For to keep it, I must pass it on.
