Friday Flash 55 (non-fiction)

Here are the pumpkins we carved this year, with a Star Wars theme. From left to right we have Boba Fett, Chewbacca and the Star Wars logo, of course!
Everyone have a safe and happy Halloween!

Gleaming, Glowing, Glorious Gourds galore...
Brighten our Halloween night 'afore
we head out to beg, for sweets and treats.
Trick we'll do if ye request,
for we have donned our scariest best.
But beware those goblins and ghouls,
for some aren't as nice as we might be.
Oh, and may the force be with ye!

Be sure to let the G-Man know about your Friday Flash 55 whether it be fiction or truth. Then cruise around and enjoy the 55's of all the other writing superstars we hang out with here in the blogosphere!

Good morning Brian, my wife found the images online, printed them out and we used them as guides, yea... I was shocked I could make Chewie appear with the pattern. I couldn't imagine free-handing that lol. My wife did the other two with Ian's help. It's an annual tradition with us.

Great pumpkins! I came across a website yesterday that had great Death Star and R2-D2 pumpkins.

The Force (always capitalized - it's a proper name) was with your 55.

Pumpkin art! Excellent job, both "in the flesh" (so to speak) and in your 55.

Real nice write....and may the force be with ye too.

loved the start war series, and love your carved pumpkins, I think we still have all the old movies, my son sold all his original collection of star war figures at a garage sale, years ago it seems like now and when he came in the house he was all excited how much money this man gave him -- then he got sad for he realized he should have kept them -- for they were valued a whole lot more. Lessons learned some things we tried to tell him before hand , but some things you learn have to learn on your own.
such is life,

nice 55er as you can tell it brought back memories,

cheers,
joanny

Wow, those are awesome jack-o-lanterns, Scott! Love the poem, too. You are quite talented. Our 3 sons had a few Star Wars toys, but they had LOTS of G.I. Joe action figures--we still have some of them here at our house...The boys are 28, 30 and 32 now.
