trudging

Today is "Scouting for Food" Saturday #1 where I drive a carload of Cub Scouts about town to hang plastic grocery bags on the doors of residents.  Next Saturday morning we drive back around town and collect canned goods for a local food pantry.  It's good works, and the boys have a ball capering about town.  Scouting can be such a great program.  Tomorrow is our annual Pinewoood Derby.  Hopefully there will be no tears shed by boys that didn't win lol.  Winning and losing is all a part of life, and Scouting is a great program to safely allow boys to have success and failure, that they might learn how to deal with life's many challenges and opportunities in a healthy way.  I quit Cub Scouts as a Wolf Cub.  Just saying...

I'm up early, full of coffee and off to submit my resume and online application for this new banking opportunity before we embark on our service project.  Trudging the road of happy destiny...

"And You and I" by YES plays softly in the background...  great way to begin!

A Yes soundtrack should make anything good! :-)
