joining the HNT ranks!

Ok, I wanted my first HNT post to be special... from R to L, it's me, my son, his cousin and my wife. We're dabbling our lil toes in the frigid snow melt-fed waters of Oak Creek, at Slide Rock State Park in Oak Creek Canyon, AZ this past April.

I wanted to post this pic cuz the canyon is in severe danger of being utterly destroyed by a large, out of control forest fire. This is one of my top 3 favorite places on earth (Sedona/Oak Creekk Canyon) and it's really in big trouble... I am praying for the people there... I hope the firefighters are able to keep this thing from running up the canyon and endangering Flagstaff, Sedona and Munds Park (where my bro-in law's cabin is...) If ever you have a chance to visit AZ, you must visit this place!

If you wish to visit HNT, click here: HNT

peace to you all...

Good luck with accessing the HNT site.
Neat pic. Why do those people build homes where there have been forest fires for hundreds of years? Same reason we build homes where there have been hurricanes, I guess.

What a great pic. Thanks for sharing it. I am praying for big rain and a big cool-off for the west. It is SCARY.
