keepin it simple (I hope)

Thanks to my bloggin' buds for all the kind advice, thoughts and words... The one good thing about feelin' goofy, and having less than desirable stuff going on is that "this too shall pass..." Yay... I felt kinda wierd about posting all of that yesterday, and still do, but I guess I needed to share it with y'all...

Today's plan is to keep 'er simple... I got plenty to do with work, so I am going to focus on doing the next right thing, and being at peace with all that is going on around me. I think at this point, if I could simply avoid worry, and avoid being part of the problem I would be doing alright. Tonite, I have my first RCIA meeting to get ready to begin the process of joining the church. I am excited about that, and a little nervous I guess...

Prayer for the day...

God/HP, I am grateful to you for friends you've put in my life. Teddy and Charlie were two very important people in carrying your message. I will always cherish the memories of out time together and I hope I can use their example of living to inspire others, and grow as a person. Thank You God, for keeping me sober, a day at a time, and for all the blessing you continue to send my/our way. Please Help me today to keep things simple, to see the positive, accept the challenges, and let go of stuff. Please help me to remember to be of service, that I am here to live Your Will, to carry Your message and to share the sunlight of Your Spirit with everyone I meet today.

peace and thanks to y'all...

I am sorry for the loss of both of your friends, Scott. In the Jewish faith one lights a candle on the "anniversary" (called a yahrzeit)of someone's death and lets it burn the entire 24 hours. It's a lovely remembrance and honoring of their spirit....I will light one for your friend who passed from cancer.
Peace and big, warm hugs,
Scout
