Man Day!

We had a blast yesterday... We got to see some kool 4X4 truck racing, some mud drag racing and of course, Monster Trucks! Ian loved it, and so did I. The weather was chilly until the sun finally came out late in the afternoon but that was no biggie! Once we'd had our fill of that, we went to the golf range to hit balls and then it was off to Waffle House to complete our "Man Day!!" It was great, and I have the pics to prove it... Check out "Sargeant Smash" We actually got to ride in that bad boy... It was insane, the guy was whipping the rear end around in that thing and we went over this big honking hill twice, cruising around the obstable course set up for the monster trucks... very kool... We were getting tossed around inside that thing like rag dolls... It was great! Mommy enjoyed Man Day as well, she was scrapbooking her butt off at home in a quiet, empty, peaceful house lol.
We had a nice meeting at the jail, talked about early recovery and the 1st 4 Steps... I think I might have seen some lights coming on, but I think I talked too much lol. I was the only outside AA there and once a couple guys shared what was going on with them, I sort of took over, answering their questions and sharing my E,S & H as it related to their stuff.
We had a good prayer meeting, still listening to the book "The Lamb's Supper" on CD. We listened to another chapter on the book of Revelation... It's really eye opening for sure, and I can really understand the Catholic teaching on Revelation and what it means to us. It was very interesting...
Today we'll hit Mass then I intend (I hope) to plant my tomatoes and watermelons as well as a few extra bedding palnts I picked up this week. Last weekend we bought and planted all the bedding plants my wife uses in our planters and I planted some new perennials. I love adding to our collection of trees, shrubs and various perennials. I love how the garden and yard looks each year as we add plants to improve the beauty of our little place here.
Prayer for today...
HP/God/JC, thank You for another sober awakening, and thanks for an awesome day with Ian yeterday! I pray that I am prepared to receive You at Mass this morning that my mind and heart are ready for Your Word and message of Hope and Redemption during this Easter celebration. Help me to continue to be a positive influence/"contributor" in my family as we enjoy our weekend together. Thank You for the beauty of Springtime and the gifts of plants and animals that make our yard and home so serene and peaceful. I pray for Your Will and Grace in the lives of all my friends, recovery buddies, blogger buddies, family and everyone with whom I come in contact. I also want to ask a special blessing for the youngsters in our community and everywhere who will be graduating soon. May they be blessed with the sunlight of Your Spirit!
may peace be with you all!

That Ian is an Angel for sure! I kinda wish I was a man - your 'man day' sounded so very cool! But then, Angel and I had a 'gurly night' last night, also very cool! The blessings of this program at work, yup!
love and HUGS
