any day now...

lol... That Ronnie Milsap song just popped into my head as I sit here praying in gratitude for the forthcoming job offer lol. Unfortunately for me, that is one of those songs that can take days to rid myself of. ugh...

Today is a bit of a big day... My wife has a sonogram this afternoon to check out this lump they found on her mammogram. I'll be spending a good bit of time in prayer for God's Will and Grace on this one. It already is what it is, we're simply going to find out more about it today. Depending upon how things go with that, I may take Ian over to the County Fair to see the Truck and Tractor Pull. He loved it last year and well, so did I!

I don't have much time to post this morning, Optimist Club meeting is in an hour and I am still sitting here in my well... not ready to leave the house lol. This club is the highlight of my week (professionally speaking). It's a great bunch of guys and a great cause (heping the Youth of our community), good breakfast and a TON of laughs... It's also proving to be one of the best career moves I have ever made. One of the realtors who insisted that Chase call me is a club member I've gotten to know. Interestingly enough, he has not even thrown me a bone of business. It's the whole "mortgage broker" thing, I am sure of it. I understand completely... My industry has had a large part to play in the predatory lending/foreclosure problem in this country.

prayer for today...

JC/HP/God, please help me to stay sober and to live to good purpose today. I pray that You take good care of my wife and me today, asking only for Your Will and the strength to carry it out. Help me to remember that I am here to be of service to You and those around me. Thank You for this exercise in patience with regard to the new career thing and with regard to my wife's usual return to "everything is normal between us" mode, even though I've lovingly drawn a thin line in the sand that we one way or another, the insanity that is our marriage ends either by improvement or seperation. I refuse to pretend nothing's wrong and then go back through the cycle of insanity again. Please help me, guide me with this...

may the peace of Christ be with you all...

Dear Scott,

Thank you so much for your comment you left on my blog. It mean so much to know how I can help in any form. It helps me to keep coming back, so ccrazy how this works.

Your wife is so blessed to have your support and prayers at this time. I adore how you stand beside her and are being able to handle this life on life's event . . . considering Ian and all.

My prayers are with you too. Thank you for being sober today.
