draggin' arse!

I'll tell ya what... This new bank job is kicking my butt! lol There is so much more to learn than I had ever imagined. Thankfully, it's sinking in slowly. I guess I was really worried about retaining all this information when it was all first presented but it's coming along. When they told me how long it would be before they "turned me loose" on my own after training (3-4 weeks) I was shocked it would take so long. Well, I am grateful they provide the type and quantity of training they do. I would be lost had I not spent the last 3 and a half weeks training, lol. With all there is to do and learn, by 8 pm at nite, I am ready to collapse... But, it feels really, really good to be learning, to be busy with a LOT of customers already, and to know down in my heart that I have really found an excellent career here. Running my own mortgage broker office felt good and was fun and even went ok. But, this job at the bank just feels right, like I am supposed to be here. And to think I nearly blew off the guy when he called to talk with me about the job. Yay God, thanks for helping me keep an open mind and teaching me to always explore my options, even when I am not looking for any change.

Last nite Ian's entire Kindergarden class had a storytime activity at school. All us parents, and kids went to school where the K teachers and principal read the kids this great story about the Gingerbread Baby (like the gingerbread man, "catch me if you can" story..). Then each family got to make gingerbread houses out of graham crackers, candies, frosting, etc. It was fun, we made a great lil house, Ian had a blast and well... it was just a really nice way to spend an hour last nite. And it gave me the jolt of energy I needed to get home and load three new loans into my laptop for pre-qualifications today lol.

placing myself in the Lord's presence....

God/JC/HS/HP, please help me stay sober just for today. Everything good in my life depends on me not taking that first drink. I pray that I never forget this. Please help me be a good CCD teacher tonite both in word and action. I pray that somehow You work through me to impact the kids in a positive manner. I ask Your Blessing, Your Grace on our leaders, our teachers, police, safety, fire, emt, etc. I pray that You may safely return our troops to their families. Thanks for such a kick butt life!

may the peace of Christ be with you all!

It sounds like things are going well for you... much less crazy than a few months ago. I'm really happy for you.
