At last, today's the day!! I am off work at 12 noon, coming home, changing clothes and it's off to Michigan to hang out in the woods with 65 or so of my sober men friends for a weekend of prayer, meditation, fellowship, nature and spiritual recharge. The weather is supposed to be mid 70's and sunny during the day, and upper 40's at nite. perfect! This is the cornerstone of my recovery year, and I am waaaay ready for a recharge. The past two months have been insanely busy, with closing my office, going to work at the bank, CCD preparation classes, actual CCD, dance band gigs, marching band camp, school starting and so forth... I am ready for a break!
I'll "see" y'all again on Sunday evening!

HP, please help me stay sober today! I know in my heart of hearts that I cannot improve upon anything in my life by taking a drink, using drugs or smoking ciggys. Thank You for getting that thru my thick head! There's this loan I am doing, a refinance for a former purchase customer of mine who lives round the corner from me. Please guide and direct my thinking especially. They are approaching a reset on their adjustable rate in December, and they really, really need this refi to go through without a hitch. So, I normally do not come to you with such things, but please help me help them. I dont ask this for my sake, but for theirs. They need this to go through so they don't have to worry about the payment going up in a couple months.

My AA womens retreat is coming up in three weeks. A weekend of camping at the lake and it too is the cornerstone of my recovery year. It just gets you back to some basic gratitude for sobriety!

You are a better man than I living in the woods like that. But I know you love it, I remember you speaking of it last year.
