gratitude

It's just plain difficult to keep up with this bloggage! lol

Work has been busy... I have been making it a point to get to the gym and get a really good bit of working out in on a regular basis... This past week I have had a fairly yucky sinus infection thing... I have been getting to a few meetings, even gave a lead about a week and a half ago. I've been getting to Mass, but not doing enough praying on my own, although I have gotten a couple Rosaries in since Lent began.

All in all, things are great. We're hurting for money but that's okay, we'll deal with it. We're all relatively healthy, we have what we need. I have been getting better at work, feeling more healthy with eating better since Jan and working out regularly at the gym. I even had a few sessions with a personal trainer to get on a bit of a program of good exercise and right eating. That has been very helpful and has me feeling tired but energetic and good. It's a good, muscle sore type of tired, but still feeling like I have physical energy and strength, not the usual couch potato feeling lol

gratitude....

I love that I have been sober a day at a time for over 12 yrs now... It still amazes me when I think about what that means.

I love that my relationship with God continues to evolve to different, great levels of understanding and experience.

I love that I keep an open mind and learn, learn, learn each day whether it be about someone I just met, something with work, something about my son, some thing about God, I love learning...

I love sharing my faith with my 8th graders, even if they arent really much into it most of the time...

I love the relationship I share with HP, always changing, always evolving, always there...

Everything good in my life has come as a result of stopping drinking/using drugs and getting to know God, letting Him and His Son into my heart and life. ...period!

It's great you are still finding so much to be grateful for, even when things aren't perfect. I recently read that people who are grateful are more satisfied with their lives and are generally happier people and live longer. All good things.

I agree with your previous commenter, it really is heartening to read that you are so full of thanks amidst your personal struggles.

God Bless you!
