roller coaster!

Well, May was awesome for work... so far in June, I have had 4 loans catch fire and burn to their untimely death, leaving me with a very thin pipeline... It just blows my mind how I can go from hero to zero in one week lol. This mortgage business really sucks right now. Rates are creeping up, the media has everyone believing that the sky is falling when it really is just hanging a wee bit lower than it had been. Housing prices are soft, values are down some and everyone is in panic mode when it really doesn't need to be like that. But, it is, and I will have to deal with it. I just really thought I had things rolling along, and I got bit by some really unfortunate circumstances on 4 loans this week. And really, my borrowers are the ones who are having setbacks and inconveniences. After all, it's about their loans, not my paycheck (to a point, lol). Ah well, enough whining... I am tired, it's Fri nite and I have the entire weekend to re-charge for another run at it next week.

gratitude:

Thank you God for my good health and the good health of my family; for good friends and the fellowship of AA; for my Optimist Club and the great friends I have made there; for T-Ball and the chance to coach my son's team; for the great month of May and the character to only whine about it tonite and the fortitude to press on; for the arrival of nice, hot humid summer weather; for the wonderful hobby of fishkeeping; that I took the time to clean up my home office a couple weeks ago; for all the rewards points I had accumulated on my credit cards that enabled me to get enough cash cards to buy a new stove this summer; for recovery from the awful disease of alcoholism.

peace be with you all...

Thanks for clearing up those points about the loan business and how the friggin' media blows things out of proportion.

It'll all turn around at some point...always does. Hang in there until then.

Hey, stop by my blog...the last 2 days I've posted a true story about the first of my family to come to the west coast in the 1850's written by one of the family members.

I think it is pretty rough out there. But I am a chicken when it comes to money and things financial... well, except for buying shoes and stuff.
