Well, I've done it! I am up, out of bed and headed to my mens's prayer group meeting. I haven't been there in a long time, I am looking forward to being there this morning. This is another component of my efforts to improve myself and thus improve our marriage as a result. But, I do this for me.

Yesterday wasn't going as well as I'd hoped, from a work related perspective. So at midday, I decided to hit the noon meeting. I had some reservations since I knew my wife was going to be there. She had expressed her feelings to me about Kayla (and I wasn't completely excited about that lol) earlier in the morning and I wasnt sure if I ought to go. Then it occured to me that if I want her to know I am not going to be all affected by her feelings and issues she is dealing with, it would be good to go to the meeting and act as if I was completely at peace with her and the whole difficulty she's having over Kayla.

So I went. Good decision. The meeting was wonderful, a friend of ours came in and shared some stuff that is exactly on point with some of what my wife and I are dealing with in our marriage. My wife shared her E, S & H with the situation... I sat, reflected, listened, and then later shared my E, S & H, expanding a bit on the things my wife had shared earlier. It turned out to be a very helpful meeting for my wife and I, and the gal who opened the meeting with her issue was moved by how my wife and I had shared "together" and had been supportive and encouraging of one another in dealing with a difficult issue, right there during the meeting. It a really new experience for my wife and I. And, I think it had a positive impact for us both.

Later on after the prayer meeting I am heading to the gym. This will be my 4th 5K this week (walking the first 2 miles briskly, then pounding out the last 1.1-1.5 miles on the elliptical with the resistance on 7-9, going fwd and backwards very quickly). It's feleing good, doing these 5K on a regular, consistent basis each week. I can begin to feel the change, the weight loss momentum. Now, if i can begin to alter my diet more significantly some things are going to change about me. yay!

I am on the elliptical 4 or 5 days each week, but instead of distance, I focus on length of time and hear rate. Either way is good, I'msure.
Now about that diet ...

(LOL)
