Shutting Down

I'm considering ending my blog. (Given the lack of posts over the past couple of months, you may have already figured that out) First of all, sobriety is going well, the family is happy and healthy and everything seems to be alright, except I've hardly been writing at all.

I'm thinking about a new blog, something entirely different and a little less anonymous, therefore, non AA-related. I don't know. I've been so doggone busy the past few months, I'm not sure what I want to do. The marching band season ended Friday evening with our final football game. We didn't qualify to compete at State Finals so our season is effectively over, except for one little parade on the 12th. I notified the band director and the kids that this is my final year with them. I cannot commit to another July-Nov 1st like this again. It's just too much with a full-time gig, doing real estate and having a family. It was a really tough decision, to give up working with the kids but I had to do it. I'lll still help out now and again, and I will see the kids around town.

As for the blogging, right now I'm just not sure. I'm going to let the dust settle and make a decision shortly.

Be well, and thanks for reading!

Scott,I hope that you do not delete the blog, just put it on the back burner that way you still have the blog when and if you decide to do posting again. I personally have a few blogs parked on the back burner.
I f you do decide to start a new one I will be honored to follow that one as I was honored to follow this blog.

Hey Scott.

I agree with Mike's suggestion (above). But do what you feel the need to do. If you decide to end/delete this blog, I sure hope you'll check in with me occasionally and update me.
That's what we do.

I often remember JJ's title of...
A Reason, A Season, A Lifetime.

It's so true in most phases of life.

Scott, I'll miss you. But understand. It takes a lot to update and keep things fresh on a blog. I get writer's block a lot. What do I say after so many posts? Hope that you will keep the blog up and come back at some point.

God will decide... I have had a really hard time of late being regular with my own blog, I've decided not to decide, just to let the spirit lead. After all... we are aware of what's going on, if we pray we'll always get the answer we need :)

((((((Scott)))))))

I'm grateful for the writing in you, each time it comes, no matter how far between the posts are ... I believe it's spirit led.

As you know, I left my blog and started another for 6 months. I am glad I did that. And now I am glad I am back to my blog. I enjoy it. But it had turned into a chore.

Sometimes you just need a break. Please stay in touch!

Soctt, we encourage you to continue blogging. If that means beginning a new blog, so be it. We believe you should continue this outlet, and have a place to share your thoughts and experiences. We wish you the best of luck in whatever choice you make!

I too have felt like starting something new. I love the steps and they are a way of life for me.

Everything I do I can relate back to the steps but when I mention them in my blog it seems forced.

Good luck.

Be sad to see you go but some things run there course. The alcohol blog is a very narrow niche. I'm trying to break into the alcohol slash comedy niche and everyone thinks its a joke...
