I still have a hard time...

I still have a hard time

understanding what happened that day. I mean I know what happened, but I just can't wrap my mind around it. It still upsets me to see footage, especially to consider what those passengers must have been thinking. One of the things that moves me the most, is what happened in the skies over Eastern Oh/Western PA that morning. I am so proud of my contrymen and countrywomen for their incredible bravery and sacrifice. It brings me to tears to consider what they did for their country. I will never, ever, ever forget what happened that day. God will see us through this, I know that in my heart. I only hope that the people who lost their lives that day and as a result of the actions of that day, didn't die in vain. I pray that we can make some good come of this, somehow. My thoughts and prayers are with the families of those we lost, and those we continue to lose, and those who continue to serve our country. May God see them safely to His side...

There is a 4 day memorial taking place not far from where we live. My wife and I took Ian and Cosmo over on Sunday evening to see the "healing" memorial. Wow... The photos are from our visit. The quilt contains fire/police and ems patches from all over, people who have seen the quilt signed there names all over it, so did we. I think the rest of the photos speak for themselves... People could donate money and "buy"a flag, putting someone's name on the flagpole, honoring a hero: policeman, fireman, ems worker, serving military, veteran and deceased or missing military member... It was an incredible thing to behold.

God Bless America!
