more odds and ends...

I am happy to report that Cosmo suffered no ill effects from her transformation into and out of "pumpkin-ness" She still has a few wisps of orange but today, she will be getting a bath today so, all that will be gone! And SC, I have given it some more thought... you're right, Cosmo is adorable, but ya still can't have her :-)

We had an awesome jail meeting yesterday... There were two guys in there who had never been to an AA meeting ever before. I love that... I took the opportunity to share what it was like for me, what happened and what it's like now. Well, I felt HP doing His thing and really ended up giving a mini-lead, oops lol. Well, one of the guys pulled me aside as we let out (hand stuffed with a couple pamphlets, grapvines and a 12X12) and told me that I told his story... I am so grateful to HP for using me to do that.. All I had to do was suit up, show up, and share as instructed in Step 12, and hopefully a life was touched, introduced to the possibility that maybe he didn't have to live the way he was living any more from this day forward. This guy had the "newcomer glint" in his eye.. I love that. Man I got (and still have) a charge from that meeting... That's the real magic.. I take a little time from my little life and try to be there for someone, share some facts about myself, and thru that, HP/God blesses us both, touches both our souls with His Light...

And now, as if it couldn't get any better.. it's off to Mass...

Prayer for the day...

God/HP, I am grateful to You for giving me the gift of continued sobriety and good health. I am so, so grateful to You for guiding me to jail yesterday and then using me to deliver Your Message of Hope... and that one fellow in particular seemed to receive Your Word and share a little gratitude with Your servant. God/HP, help me maintain an attitude of Gratitude and Service as I go through my day. I ask Your Blessings and Will in the lives of Scout and Mugs, for our beloved family members serving the US, wherever they are, especially Mark's son and MC's boy. God/HP, I thank You for the beautiful day yesterday, that Ian, Cosmo and I could go pick some apples in a beautiful orchard. (pics to come) Thank You God/HP for the Peace in my heart today. While I know that I could be a better person, more productive, more faithful to Your Will... I know that things are as they are supposed to be, that You're in charge and all I have to do is continue to try to seek Your Will and everything will take care of itself. Thank You for taking care of me.

peace to y'all...

Our service, whatever form it takes, goes a long way in helping us stay sober. Thanks for sharing that moment from your "little" life.

Love how you told God you would post some pics.

And now I learn Cosmo is a she, I thought she was a he! Ok, now I really want to have Her! I love girl dogs, it is all I have had all my life (now 3 girl cats and 1 dude, poor Mitch, he is out numbered!). It is good that Cosmo survived the Pumpkin Patch.

That is really magical what you experienced by sharing your experience. You offered some light onto someone who really needed it.
