a better Sunday

I am going to do better this Sunday than last Sunday. I had been sick and too busy all week leading up to the weekend. I spent the entire day with Ian on Saturday and Sunday. By the time the Browns game was on Sunday evening, I was tired, pissy, cranky and when they finally scored (after playing like crap all day) only to have it called back on a dumb holding call... I blew my stack and hollared, which startled Ian and got him all upset, pissed off my wife and the evening was a mess... The problem wasn't the game, the problem was my spiritual condition. Today, thanks to more blogging, prayer, rest, balance, etc. I am in better spiritual condition.

We joined the local YMCA yesterday so this afternoon during the games, I will be on a stationary bike, shooting hoops with Ian, etc. After that we'll come home and watch the race in hopes that Denny Hamlin can pull off a miracle. After supper, I will surprise Ian with a dad/son trip to the theatre to go see that Flushed Away movie... That oughtta take care of the spirit, yes?? Geeze, I hope so, I don't want a repeat of my ridiculous behavior from last weekend...

Prayer for the day...

God/HP, thanks for another sober day for without You I couldn't stay sober or live to good purpose. Please help me be of service today. I pray taht I may make for a nice afternoon together with Ian, so mommy can get some peace and quiet this afternoon and evening. I ask for Your Will and Grace in our lives, the lives of our family and friends, for the still suffering alcoholics and addicts, and those in harms way on behalf of our country.

peace to y'all, enjoy your Sunday!

Go Browns Go Giants and Go #11 Denny Hamlin!!

We just got back from Flushed Away, it was great. I hope Ian liked it.

Jeez. If people got mad at me for getting upset about the football game, they would have to go somewhere else while I watch it! Isn't that what football is all about?
