wednesday stuff

I am getting back on track with the eating better thing. I haven't worked out at the Y in awhile due to time and mainly because I have been feeling pretty krappy with this sinus infection thing. I have plans to hit the Y after work tomorrow.

We had a great RCIA class last nite, discussed baptism. I am really, really looking forward to Easter Vigil. That's the nite I am baptized, confirmed and I get to receive the Eucharist for the first time. I will probably be floating out of Mass that evening!

Tonite is home group. My home group is a Men's Closed discussion (not that we'd ever kick a gal out if she happened in for a meeting). I think I am going to propose that we hold one Step Discussion meeting per month, to cover the step that corresponds to the month. We usually have pretty darn good discussions, but sometimes it takes awhile to get going. And really, ya just can't go wrong with a Step meeting! in fact, I need to get my butt moving so I am gonna have to finish up this post!

Our retreat chairman (my sponsee) and I had a nice lunch meeting to get organized for our upcoming retreat (Jan 19-21st). I think we're going to have a great turnout, probably 20-25 guys! We're going to cover each of the 12 Steps over the course of the weekend. It's gonna be great!

Prayer for the day...

God/HP/Jesus... Thanks for another sober, busy day! I am grateful to You for extending Your grace to me, that I might live a peaceful, sober life. God, help me to remember that I am here to serve You and those around me. I pray that I might seek Your counsel in everything I do today, that my plans and actions might be in congruence with Your Will for me. Please be with us tonite as we carry the AA message in our meeting. I pray for Your Grace for those of us trying to live a more healthy and fit lifestyle.

peace to y'all!

Yo are still all over the place, but in a really good way. That step meeting once a month sounds fantastic.
