who knew?

Who knew fishkeeping was such an involved process? I didn't! I figured fish + water = fun and serenity... Well, It's jsut a little more intricate than that but definitely a really fascinating hobby. I feel like I have learned so much in the two weeks since we bought the tank and set it all up. I am looking forward to learning more and it seems that I am suffering from MTS: Multiple Tank Syndrome. Now that I have one tank I need more, lol. I have gotten involved with an online site with chat, info, forums, etc It has been a God-send as far as getting my questions answered... I guess I am hooked!

My next door neighbor Les had to have open heart surgery today, to see what's been causing his problems. I am praying that he gets through it ok. He has been having on again off again little heart attacks and strokes over the past few years. It has been hard on him and his wife. So, we're praying for them both, for health, God's Will and the Grace to get through this tuff time.

Work is getting both busy and slow. My string of closings will come to an end Friday. It's been a nice 7 weeks with 6 closings spread evenly. I have a BUNCH of new applicants, most of which are pretty tough loans that could take awhile, if they close at all. I have hired a telemarketer to get me some warm bodies to fill in the gaps while the rest of my pipeline develops. I am glad I have become somewhat patient and have become big time ok with the ups and downs of this business. I have been working to build a steady flow of deals in various stages but sometimes you hit these little gaps. I have a few really good prospects out househunting and their purchase contracts could come any day or a month from now. That's just the nature of the biz. I am glad I have learned to place this stuff in God's hand while I work on the next right thing.

Prayer for today...

JC/HP/God, thank You for all the awesome blessings in my life today. Thanks for giving my son the enthusiasm to talk us into getting the aquarium. We've been enjoying it. I pray that You're there for Les and Ruth as he has his surgery this evening. Please keep them wrapped in your loving arms. Thanks for the book "the Secret.' It has changed my wife's outlook on life 180 degrees, even as she still struggles with this back thing. Her transformation has been amazing, a day at a time. Please help me to maintain this attitude of gratitude and service. I am here to serve You and those about me. I pray that I may make myself fit for this service!

peace be with you all!

Ohhhh fishies! The business I work for are owned by people from Malaysia and China. There are Budda statues, HUGE fish aquriums, insents and all that stuff all over the place. The corporation is pretty big, they have all tanks serviced every other week. The fish are very exotic, from a blow up fish to turtles. I think it is very euphoric and relaxing. But then again, I don't have to keep it up :)

Missed reading your posts, I am glad that I made it back. Glad to learn your family is doing well, and I am sure Cosmo is too :)
