"money day"

Yesterday was an amazing day... The Federal Government announced that they will be buying mortgage backed securities from Fannie, Freddie and Ginnie. This causes a major drop in the price of mortgage rates and off we go! I ended up locking and starting 3 refis yesterday, as well as renegotiating the rates on two loans I have in progress, saving my clients thousands of dollars. Yesterday was a "money day." I expect that today will be much like yesterday!

I have noted several times in recent posts that I am "re-inventing" my career, my outlook, my self. Well, I am glad I had begun this re-invention weeks ago, rather than not at all, or I wouldn't have survived a day like yesterday without going completely bonkers with stress. Oh, it was busy and stressful to be sure. But, if I were still carrying around the baggage of a poor, negative attitude, yesterday would've been a dismal failure for me. Thank goodness my prayer life has been improving. Thank goodness my approach to business has been slowly changing. Thank goodness I've been going to the gym regularly and I am losing weight. Thank goodness I have taken the time to get my resume together and in front of people in good places.

Doing all these things has begun to affect a change in me and my attitude. I can feel a difference in my body and my spirit. I am beginning to see a difference in my work product and in my home environment. My greater focus on gratitude and acceptance are paying off. I only pray that God guides me to continue, that I maintain and improve on my efforts.

prayer for today...

Lord, thank You for this day and all it will bring. Thanks for sobriety and AA, the Church and for Your Son Jesus in whom we have salvation. Without You, I would be nothing... I would still be drunk, actively drug addicted, poor in spirit, mind, body and material. I pray that today I might seek out ways to help those around me, living to Your Will. I ask Your blessing on AA and the sick and suffering alkies/addicts. I ask Your blessing on my blogging friends, and for a peaceful joy-filled Thanksgiving for those who celebrate. Please be with my friend Bill and his family, Mrs M and her family. Please help us travel safely to and from West Virginia tonite and this weekend.

peace to all who enter...
