My friend Chris has a nifty lil project going on her blog. She's going to donate $2 to Heartline Minstries in Haiti for each blogger that posts their list, poem or prose piece about their favorite simple pleasures in life. Then link to her blog. That's it, simple!
Here's my list...
my first cup of coffee (which I am enjoying right now)...
watching an amazing winter landscape form that wasn't there yesterday...
knowing that my son and I shovelled once last nite and will do it again this morning, this storm being first time I've made him help me, he's growing up...
watching the birds eat the seed we've supplied them...
sitting thru a good meeting with my eyes closed, not saying a word...
a text message exchange with the kaylabug...
time at the keyboard with my coffee...
a prayer of gratitude in front of a candle...
seeing my wife relax and smile more...
music in my ear buds and a book of Frost's poems...
did I mention coffee?
a long, snug hug from Kay...

Oh, Scott, what a neat list! I felt overwhelmingly warm about your life as I read it. You have so many blessings and priceless moments. I love that you love your wife's smile. All things can come to pass for those who love the Lord and seek His ways, and who practice diligently the 12 steps at home!
