I thought we might try a new look. Blogger dangled a "new template" popup teaser in front of my nose this morning and I got sucked in lol.
I'm feeling quite peaceful this morning. It could be the thunderstorms making their way through the area. Hell, it might just be exhaustion lol. I didn't want to get up this morning. But, it's Friday so I managed to haul myself out of bed and into the shower. I'm putting one foot in front of the other, living precisely in this very moment.
Computer update... still no major meltdowns or cursing from me even though I had to replace the hard drive on one machine and take the other to a friend to be "unfrozen." It's been that kind of week for all things technical. I installed the new hard drive and restored the one computer so that seems to be up and running alright. I will probably pick up the other one today. My friend had to go in and reformat the hard drive.
My mom came down from Toledo last nite to watch the boys play ball. We got out to a rather inauspicious start going down 4-0 in the 1st inning, 9-0 by the 2nd and 14-0 by the end of the third. The boys just were not into the game mentally until one of them finally got the group fired up and playing ball. So, by the end of 4 (and the end of the game) we only lost 15-7. That was probably the most difficult night of coaching I've had this season. Nothing I tried would get them fired up. I don't know if they are suffering from "too much swimming pool" or just the summer "lazies" or what lol. I kept it positive for the most part and continued to coach them as if we were in a 1 run ball game, and they ultimately came around and began to have fun. 2nd, 3rd and 4th grade boys are an emotional bunch.
I am doing the speaking/announcing tomorrow night for our annual Relay for Life event. I'm honored and flattered that they asked me to do this, as part of the duties include reading the list of luminarias, the poeple we'll be remembering who lost their battle with cancer or who are currently battling the disease. A close friend of mine lost her fiance in November and her mom in March to cancer. Their names are on the list. This is the 5th anniversary since my friend Teddy lost his battle. He is on the list. My wife's cousin survived breast cancer, she is on the list. I am sure it will be a very emotional evening.

Hey Scott.
Have a lovely weekend!!
It's nice to feel peaceful. My one and only graduates tonight so keep those storms in Ohio, okay?
Love the new look! Hope the next game goes better.
I'm going to look at the new template, thanks for showing me yours, later maybe you can see mine.
Experienced those storms off the lake and out of the west. Formally from Wooster.

We are on the same page, I changed my blogger look this afternoon. I like to rearrange the furniture in our house a lot which drives my husband crazy but I always tell him "it gives us a fresh look at things". Glad you are feeling more peaceful, and yes what an honor when you read those names. It's nice to remember those who have gone before. I hope you peace continues and that you have a great weekend!
I like the new template a lot. Have a great weekend.
