humbly asked...

There is indeed no place like home :-) Well, we're settling back into the usual routine with work and tasks about the house. Summer is in full swing and I love it! Last nite I got the grass cut and the landscaping plants, flowers and trees watered. They didn't fare too poorly while we were gone. Evidently it rained quite a lot while we were on vacation. I love watering and tending my plants. It relaxes me, and gives me a feeling of grounding and connection with HP.

Today, I ought to have time for the noon meeting. I'm ready for an encounter with some fellow alcoholics. It's always good for this guy to be reminded of his illness. Thankfully, I don't really have any major emotional or spiritual upsets to be concerned with. But, isn't that really the point of going to meetings at 14+ yrs sober? I don't want to develop any issues, so I continue going to meetings and talking with alcoholics and addicts regularly. Today thankfully, it's about the maintenance and not about the crisis management!

Humbly asked... God, I know I have faults, imperfections... things that seperate me from You. There are some faults I desire to have you remove from me, that I might be more like You. My goal is to be as close to You as I might, through my thoughts, my words and my deeds. I pray this day for Your guidance and for my understanding of Your Will for me.

Humility is a good thing. I too enjoy being a humble gardener. It feels good to see things grow.
