Expansion

I'm a social media junkie, marketer and general people person by profession.  And to that end, I've been unable to resist the temptation to broaden my sphere of online sobriety contacts/influence.  So, I created a twitter account for my sobriety/recovery blogging.  If you want to follow along and see who we meet out there, my new twitter handle is "sobernuggets" (total shock, right?)

I haven't decided if I want to make a google+ page and/or a facebook page.  I already have plenty of that going on with my real estate, marketing consulting and chamber of commerce work.  But, I thought it would be interesting to see who I could meet out there in the "twitter-verse."  There are sober peeps everywhere, and hopefully in time, some of the twitter folks wil visit my blog and we can all get to know them and share our messages of hope and recovery.

Our annual men's AA winter retreat is coming up next month and BOY OH BOY am I ready for an intensive weekend of recovery, wow!  There's just something amazing about spending a weekend in a spiritual retreat center with men in recovery.  Meetings are great, but the retreat experience takes recovery to such a personal, intensive level.  If you've never tried a retreat, I highly recommend it!

Mama bear was recently hired as the high school asst swim coach and she is off to her first meet this morning.  So, Ian and I will put up the outdoor Christmas lights and do some shopping today.  That ought to pass the time untl she returnss this afternoon.

I hope y'all have a blessed day!

Have you joined Booze Free Brigade? That's a Yahoo based group that I think is also Twitterized. Not sure, exactly, I know about it because one of my posts from a couple years ago made the rounds of their inboxes and I got a ton of hits on my statcounter from them. Go over to Crying Out Now and their link is on the right. I'm not a member. I just know about them.
