Today

Posting from my iPhone this morning, on location at the park where we're about to assemble the playground equipment for a 100% handicapped accessible playground. Our local Rotary Club raised over $250k in 19 months to make this dream a reality and today is build day. It's supposed to rain off and on and I don't anyone will care. We've got over 50 volunteers lined up to work all day and build this thing. We've got donated food and drinks, the media is due and I will be taking pics and vid ( I'm the club PR chair).

This is what we can be a part of when we get sober. There is simply no way I'd care about something like this enough to be a Rotarian and work on a project like this if I were not sober. God is good and He gives us strength to perform miracles if we're open to his will!!

Wonderful stuff! It is a gift to be able to do things like that in the community, then to put in the work to see it through with a little hands on labor.

Guess disney was right, if you can dream it you can do it...with a little help from your friends and the power that is.

God IS good!

Oh, man! That's the good stuff. Such a tremendous gift we are given in sobriety to be able to show up long enough to be of service at that level. Way to go on the fundraising. That is amazing.

Oh such an magnificent blogpost to read, thank you so much for sharing!

First of all, what a wonderful thing you guys have done raising all that money for the playground equipment, all the praise to you!

And you are so right, this is definitely something we wouldn't care about when drinking. When drinking, ALL I cared about was the alcohol - always the priority number ONE on my list *sigh*

Take care, Scott!
